The invited guests were key media across Ireland’s leading titles including The Irish Times, Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Sunday World, Women’s Way and The Sunday Times and lifestyle influencers.


The event received strong coverage across social media with most attendees posting to their Instagram stories and tagging @ALDI_Ireland.


The optimum guestlist size delivered the quotas of media coverage and ensured a warm ambiance in the event space.

Campaign Objective

The event was organised to showcase ALDI’s spring summer wine collection to a mixture of invited media guests. Influential wine writers, media and influencers attended ALDI’s Spring Summer wine tasting which took place on the Terrace of Fire Restaurant on the 24th March.

Campaign Approach

The Legacy Comms team worked with ALDI Ireland to deliver a successful wine tasting event to highlight the retailer’s seasonal selection of wines to earn media exposure for the range among the chosen target audience.

Legacy invited a dynamic guest list of influential Drinks, Lifestyle and Consumer media to join us for a sophisticated tasting at The Terrace @ Fire Restaurant at the Mansion House.

The morning event consisted of an intimate and professional standard wine tasting experience of the range in full and the afternoon event invited wine loving guests to socialize over a refined selection of ten seasonal wines.

The highly Instagram-able flower display and Spin the Wheel game brought provided the opportunity s to surprise and delight guests with other products from ALDI’s Summer range and a bespoke cocktail menu was the perfect opportunity to highlight ALDI's award-winning spirits namely, Mo Chara Irish Small Batch Gin, produced exclusively for ALDI.

Beyond these two events, Legacy's PR outreach campaign delivered supporting press releases which drove exposure for both ALDI’s Spring Summer wine range and the exclusive Mo Chara Irish Small Batch Gin.


The campaign delivered great media results and positive sentiment with a total of 54 articles written about the products online and in print with a combined reach of over 7,000,000.

Photographs of the event and the attendees were posted to social media with a combined reach of over 400,000 and appeared in the social pages of RSVP and the Dublin Gazette.

This event landed media coverage across national newspapers including The Irish Sun, The Daily Mail, The Irish Independent , Irish Examiner and more with a reach of over 7 million!
